After Akhentepi

You emerge from Akhentepi's tomb early in the morning.

We said you will be selling to the Priests of Pharsma who gave you your token.

Please make a diplomacy checks to interact with the Priests. (Let me know if there will be assiting our seperate checks)
Also, Ed, please explain why you are wearing the Anubian mask, as the will ask.

The selling/purchasing of goods and will take 4 hours.

Please let me know what you would like to the rest of the day.

Re: After Akhentepi

Enezib seems to sort of get a kick out of Aharon wearing a gnoll-god mask.

In general, I'm guessing it's best for him to not say anything.
There's no downside to trying to assist Aharon? I'll give it a shot (at -2)!
I guess we could mention the thief corpse we saw in there? maybe they are interested in that kind of thing.

What's the situation with gnolls in the city? If it's reasonable I guess I'll follow Aharon around on errands (perhaps acting as a slave or bodyguard), but if it's more like people will freak out and shoot at him then he can stay in the camp or inn or wherever we are.

Enezib isn't particularly interested in going to bars or anything, though he would like to get something to eat. Eating may take a fair amount of time, for him - I just read that the average gnoll is 7'6" 300lbs, and he is significantly larger than average. Alternatively, he could go outside the walls for a bit to hunt?

Re: After Akhentepi

Aharon will explain to the priests that he is using it to cover the embarassing magical "thief" mark he acquired in the tomb, and to promote he and his partner's professional enterprise as necropolitan archaeo-acquisitionists - the 'Jackals of the Dead.'

Diplomacy roll attached; +8 Aharon with +2 assist from Enezib.

Re: After Akhentepi

Maybe Enezib's assist is that when they raise their eyebrow at this silly explanation, his lazy eye drifts over toward your mask, and he emits a sort of terrifying hyena laugh. Then you can shrug and change the subject.

shopping list

Enezib wants to try to pick up a few things before the next session. I'm guessing that the best option would be for the Gnoll to stay at the camp or the inn or wherever while Aharon goes out to do the shopping.
- masterwork chain shirt
- masterwork falchion. Failing that maybe a masterwork greatsword? his current sword's a little dinged up as he had to use it to chop down a few stone doors and whatnot.
- couple alchemist's fire (I realized the error of my ways with the swarm)
- couple antitoxins
- couple CLW potions maybe?
- maybe masterwork backpack
- maybe get silk rope instead of hemp rope
- wand of cure light wounds? Can we generally find nonmagical (but e.g. masterwork or weird like a falchion) gear here, and I can just make whatever changes? Or is there limited stuff?

Re: shopping list

I'd like to keep any of the masks of the Old Gods we recovered; I can see them coming in handy down the road if my guy decides to go all-in as their earthly representative.

Going forward we will use two threads. One story, one occ stuff.
This will be the occ thread.

Priest encounter results

The priests will provide you with free low level spellcasting (1-2 lvl) in return for your continued cooperation of giving them any historical treasures (maps, documents, etc.) and accurate recounts of your exploration.

You will be able to buy 1-3 level potions from them at regular cost.
You will be able to sell all equipment to them at the standard 1/2 purchase value.

They are considered "friendly" on the diplomacy chart.

They identify all the magical items for you.

It will take you 4 hours to purchase everything on your list. You can find any non-magical weapons due to the large influx of merchants for this event. I will include the time it takes to eat in this shopping trip.

Magic items

I will be generating some magic items for sale in Wati. Enezib will have spotted them during his shopping trip.

Aharon... just Aharon.

I don't actually want to go around calling myself 'the EverLiving,' it was just kind of a tongue-in-cheek riff for my forum name. A guy going around calling himself that is just asking for somebody to put it to the test.

Nekhte provides you with your next token. He informs you the second site is a walled, two-story mansion with surrounding grounds, which the Pharasmins believe belonged to some minor nobility of the city. As before, the priest's give you a sketched map detailing the site's location in the necropolis.

Do you think it's worth checking out the library or public records office or something, to try to learn something about the history of this mansion, or the family who built it, etc? I'm trying to think of things we can do to use up some of our time productively, and maybe provoke incidental story encounters or pick up rumors or whatever along the way.

Re: Gather Info check

It seems absurd, but I guess I'll try to assist. You taught me ancient ossirian by the way.

Huh, I guess it worked! Maybe I went to stand at the other end of the bar from Aharon, so people migrated over to his end and were more likely to talk to him.
